FPASL believes that sexual and reproductive rights are internationally recognised human rights and, as such, shoul be guaranteed for everyone.
FAPSL values diversity and strives to achieve this in its governance and in its programmes.
FPASL considers the spirit of volunteerism to be central to achieving its goals and advancing its deals.
FPASL believes that in promoting and advancing its ideals, it should always be responsive to cultural and social, valies, norms and the concerns of people of the country.
Vision
FPASL envisages a country in which every woman, man and young person has access to the information and services theu need; in which sexuality is recognised both as a natural and important aspect of all our lives and as a fundamental human right; a world in which choices are fully respected and where stigma and discrimination have no place.
Mission
Advocate, promote and provide; information, education and services, on family planning and reproductive health to all segments of the population and to improve the quality of life of the people.
In keeping with its mission, and these values and in line with the global strategic framework approved by the IPPF Governing Council in November 2003, the FPASL will prioritise working on the 5 A's namely, Advocacy, Adolescents, HIV/AIDS, Abortion and Access.
Comparitive Advantage
FPASL will use its comparitive advantage of strong credibility and goodwill, its country-wise presence, long established close cooperative and partnership working with government agencies and civil society organisations, an extensive network of district and grassroots committees, and tens of thousands of trained volunteers to implement quality programmes consistent with its new strategic direction.
