Situation Analysis: FPAP is fortunate enough to have a precious human capital in the form of volunteers from grassroots to top most level. These volunteers have always played a lead and proactive role in promoting the cause of FPAP and advocating the SRH as fundamental human right. FPAP being a voluntary organization requires the support of volunteers in the field of

  • Advocacy,
  • Resource Mobilization,
  • Policy Formulation
  • Stewardship of the Association.

To ensure the continued and effective role that volunteers play, capacity development of volunteers will be necessary as a result of the new Strategic Priorities since changed direction with a greater focus on 5As, demands more varied skills and expertise from volunteers at every level. Induction of new volunteers will also be a pre-requisite of new Strategic Plan.

Strategic Direction:  FPAP will work towards developing the skills of volunteers to advocate for increased commitment and resources for SRHR.

Goal:  To increase public, political and financial support for sexual & reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Pakistan.

Objectives:

  • To augment the knowledge of volunteers and staff regarding the strategic directions and priorities of the organization.
  • To develop the capacity of volunteers to support FPAP in advocacy and resource mobilization.

Activities to Achieve Objective 1: To augment the knowledge of volunteers and staff regarding the strategic directions and priorities of the organization.

  • Develop training modules;
  • Design and conduct an orientation and capacity development programme for the volunteers;
  • Disseminate FPAP’s strategic directions and priorities at all levels;
  • Diversify and broaden the volunteer-base in accordance with new Strategic needs including women and young people.
