• The risk of HIV/AIDS to the increasing number of intravenous drug users
• Thriving tourism industry
• Dependence on expatriates for sustaining development
• Potential emergence of commercial sex workers

Strategic Direction: To maintain zero prevalence for HIV/AIDS Goal : Sustain zero prevalence for HIV/AIDS and protect the rights of people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Objectives:

• Establish effective partnership among the GO’s and NGO’s working on HIV/AIDS related issues.
• Full integration of HIV/AIDS issues in all advocacy and awareness raising programmes and relevant services

Activities to Achive Objective 1:Establish effective partnership among the GO’s and NGO’s working on HIV/AIDS related issues.

• Develop and distribute BCC material.
• Extend orientation/refresher training opportunities for service providers
• Conduct orientation workshops for community leaders.
• Establish networking modalities with GO’s and NGO’s.

Outcome Indicators:

• Networks established for awareness raising on HIV/AIDS
• Awareness level sustained at (90%)

Activities to Achieve Objective 2: Full integration of HIV/AIDS issues in all advocacy and awareness raising programmes and relevant services

• Organise advocacy seminars for gate keepers/ religious leaders.
• Organise orientation/refresher training programmes for personnel involved in activities concerning awareness raising on STI and HIV/AIDS
• HIV/Aids issues addressed in school curricula, religious sermons, policy guidelines and service procedures
• Voluntary HIV/AIDS testing become routine.
