FPAN Project Operational Areas
The five operational areas were selected according the following criteria:
- Strong existing presence
- Densely populated
- Four out of the five districts share open borders with Northern and Southern parts of India, where the cases of domestic violence, dowry death and the notion of witch crafting is reported to be high
- Relative political stability and good communication were other factors.
