"Two is Enough?" Slogan Competition
Online competition raises awareness of family planning and fertility in Hong Kong
9/27/2006
As part of an overall effort to renew its public image, the FPAHK organized a Slogan Competition to stimulate contemplation and expression of public views on family planning and fertility in Hong Kong.
It also aimed to arouse public awareness of the role and work of the Association in supporting people’s informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health.
The Competition was held on-line through the Association’s Web Page from 21 February to 6 March 2005. It coincided with remarks made by a leading Government official and hence attracted much public attention.
Over 4,000 entries were received, reflecting the diverse views of Hong Kong people. It was observed that people generally upheld the importance of respecting the informed decisions of individuals and the practice of good family planning, regardless of the choice of family size.
The result of the Competition was widely reported by nearly all local media.
