Dr. Anupam Khungar Pathni – Programme Officer,
HIV and AIDS

Anupam is a qualified Pediatrician from Seth GS Medical College and KEM hospital, Mumbai, and completed her MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, London. She has extensive experience in clinical and public health fields. Since the last ten years she has been associated with the development sector, especially the AIDS and TB control programmes

Anupam has worked as the HIV /TB Medical Consultant (WHO) at India’s National AIDS Control Organization and was responsible for bringing together different Government departments (NACO and Central TB Division) to work together towards a common goal. She played a key role in developing and operationalizing the action plan on HIV/TB programme coordination. Thereafter, as an independent consultant, Anupam has worked with several National and International agencies and NGOs, including UNICEF, WHO, BMGF, FHI, RCSHA. She has worked as a consultant with the Local Funding Agent (LFA) and has reviewed the programme management and monitoring & evaluation components of several grants funded by the Global Fund in India. Besides, she was closely involved in reviewing the programme performance of these grants on an ongoing basis as a part of her activities with the LFA. Her core areas of competence include programme management, monitoring & evaluation, documentation and report writing.
