Ms. Rupsa Mallik , Project Officer, Global Comprehensive Abortion Care Initiative

Rupsa Mallik

Rupsa has over 15 years experience in the national and international NGO sector. Most recently, she worked for six years with the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE) a Washington DC based NGO whose mission is to ensure that U.S. international policies and programs promote sexual and reproductive health and rights by monitoring the impact of U.S. programs overseas and advocating for effective, evidence-based policies and increased funding. Prior to that she has worked as Programme Officer, Gender Equity and Justice programme at the National Foundation for India, an India grant-making organization. She has been associated with the IPPF South Asia Regional Office since April, 2008. Rupsa has a post-graduate degree in Development Studies (Women and Development) from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands.

Ms. Shubhra Rehman, Programme Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation, GCACI

Shubhra has been associated wih the development sector for over 15 years in the field of programme management and monitoring . She has worked with various international organisations like Family Health International, IFES Gender & Law project etc., She has been responsible for the design and implementation of a standardized Computerised Management Information System (CMIS) under the M&E capacity building grant of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to FHI. She has worked with partner organisations in identifying programmatic issues, prioritising project requirements and developing monitoring plans. She has direct experience of working on annual USAID workplans, monitoring progress of indicators and reporting on achievement of benchmarks along with documentation of ongoing activities.

Dr. Kartik Srinivasan, Programme Officer – Medical and Abortion

Karthik has more than seven years of experience in providing clinical and public health support to Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Primary healthcare programs in India, USA and Africa. In addition his experience with programs on family planning, maternal child health and HIV/AIDS, he has provided direct clinical services and technical assistance to programs on abortion, post-abortion care, and emergency obstetric care in India and Africa. Prior to joining IPPF SARO, Karthik was a Program Manager for family planning research at FHI India Country Office and managed a portfolio of six research projects in the area of Reproductive Health. In addition, Karthik has worked at middle and senior managerial positions with international non-profit organizations funded by USAID and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and has supported implementation of SRH projects by CBO’s, local and national NGOs in India and Uganda.

Karthik a medical graduate with a public health specialization in Maternal Child Health from the USA also has significant experience in establishing, monitoring and implementing quality assurance for clinics providing SRH services.
